I stumbled across Pierrot La Lune the other day, thank God for Pinterest! Danish brand Pierrot La Lune was created by Emilie Ventujol in 2013, after realising it was a lifelong dream to create timeless and sophisticated informal childrenswear. Emilie is no stranger to design as she comes from a line of famous designers, one being furniture designer Børge Mogensen. Emilie believes in excellent craftsmanship, sustainable business principles and attention to detail. The main part of the Pierrot la Lune collection is produced in organic, GOTS-certified cotton and the knitwear is manufactured in 100% soft Alpaca wool from the Bolivian highlands in South America. The knitted garments are handmade by Bolivian women who work under Fairtrade conditions. Through this work, they are able to support their families and secure schooling for their children.
